Yes, the
Meanwhile this week, for the first time in over three years, the U.S. Gross Domestic Product shrank and the MSM's response was: No worries mate.
And all these are just blimps in the recovery road and nothing to worry about:
- Consumer confidence at a two-year low
- Nearly 50 million on food stamps - with 1 in 4 children on food stamps
- 1 in 6 now live in poverty
- 8.5 million people have left the workforce under Obama
- 23 million have given up looking for work
- Gas prices are the highest today than ever before
The non-partisan Government Accountability Office (GAO) released their latest report a few weeks ago concluding that “absent policy changes––the federal government continues to face an unsustainable fiscal path.” and if there was no serious spending cuts or reform of entitlement programs,“the U.S. dollar will collapse”. Nope, still no alarm bells ringing there either. It's all groovy.
And today we learn that unemployment has gone back up to 7.9% - and still the MSM runs defense for Obama telling everyone still listening to them that it was 'good news'.
Phew - I'd love to see what they think is a bad economy, if all this is good! Not hard to guess though is it? Four years later and they're still blaming Bush.
Democrat House Speaker and genius extraordinaire, Ms Nancy Pelosi, is on record as saying unemployment is good for the economy as unemployment benefits create jobs faster than any other program.
Another genius is Obama's senior adviser, Iranian-born Communist Valerie Jarrett who says that those receiving unemployment benefits stimulate the economy by spending their free money!
Hey, I know, if unemployment is great for the economy, then why not just put every American on unemployment? Pretty soon there will be heaps of jobs created from money pulled off the magic money tree in Obama's back yard, and America and the world will be saved!
But this is the new reality in America where the MSM no longer actually does any reporting and spreading of any bad news. No, everything that Obama does is inspirational. The economy is great. Printing false money at super-speed is brilliant. Guns are bad. Raising taxes during a recession is ingenious Giving amnesty to ILLEGAL people is inspirational. Obamacare will save America...yadda yadda yadda.....
However, just imagine if Romney had won and been inaugurated, America would already be deluged with reports in the MSM that homelessness is out of control; poverty is rampant; job creation is meager; old people are being thrown out into the streets to die...well, you know the litany. Thanks be to Obama, everything is wonderful.
So run along now, and not to worry America for the MSM says it's so, so it must be so.
After the American economy delivered more bad news today in the form of an increase in the unemployment rate and job growth that barely kept up with the increase in population, it took exactly 4.3476 seconds for the Washington Post's Ezra Klein and some flak for NBC News to jump before the "Morning Joe" cameras to assure Americans this was good news.
Apparently, the increase in the unemployment rate means the economy is so good, more people are joining the labor force ... except 169,000 people dropped out of the labor force, and the economy isn't good; it collapsed over three points in the last quarter and shrunk 0.1.
The AP called today's news "upbeat, " you know, even though consumer confidence hit a two-year low. But still, people are optimistic and looking for work … in an economy where chronic unemployment hasn't been this bad since World War II.
But according to Ezra Klein, that's because a government that increased spending during the last quarter of last year, actually decreased spending.
And George Orwell sings: doo da do da do da do…
The Media's Top Five Rules:
1. No matter which way the unemployment rate goes, Obama is The Sun King.
2. No matter which way the GDP goes, Obama is The Sun King.
3. Obama can do nothing wrong, Republicans can do nothing right.
4. Squirrels are always bigger news than bad news for Obama.
5. Shut up, racist.
Poverty's up, middle class incomes are down, one-in-five are on food stamps, the GAO says the deficit is "unsustainable," and the only reason the unemployment rate isn't closer to 11% is because the labor force has shrunk to thirty-year lows since Obama took office.
According to the media, though, if you look around, all you'll see is the clover we are all sitting in.
UPDATE: NBC's Chief White House Correspondent, Chuck Todd, just told America
He then blamed the collapse in consumer confidence on DC gridlock.
Translation: Republicans are awful.
Fact: The media and The State are now one.

What is going to be funny is when China starts collecting on their investment. The fed thought they could print money and sell everything with no come backs. Like the nats in South Africa , sell everything including your soul but not to worry everything will be fine. Haha
ReplyDeleteDingo
Let's see what happens. China won't ask for it back now as they still rely on the USA to keep them making cheap rubbish. If they ask for it back their economy will go bust. No, China will only hit America when they have strengthened their relations in Africa and the other BRIC countries. When they no longer need to rely on the USA they'll hit them for the money.
DeletePensioner says;
ReplyDeleteNobody in the US is talking about the 14 Trillion+ deficit that grows by the million every second either!!!
Pensioner, it's actually $16.4 trillion and rapidly climbing under Obama. He managed to add $6 trillion in 4 years all by his lonesome.
DeleteI wonder if all the above has the Germans feeling a little uneasy about their vast quantity of gold supposedly stored beneath the federal reserve.
ReplyDeleteI posted earlier in the year about how they've asked for some of it back. The Fed REFUSES to allow them to see their reserves.... They've already asked from some of it back from the UK last year, and they want ALL of their gold from France back.
