Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez in a coma 'only kept alive by life support' after cancer surgery
Ah shame, the poor dear. After all he's done to Venezuela - all the poverty, corruption, nepotism, crime, deaths etc. that has happened under his watch. I'm sure the suffering Venezuelan people are just gutted.....until he's replaced by his mini-me and the next cycle of poverty, corruption, nepotism, crime, deaths etc. occurs. Viva communism, viva.
Let's compare Chile to Venezuela:
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez is in an induced coma being kept alive by life support following complications during cancer surgery, it was claimed today.
Sources at the hospital in Cuba where he is being treated told a Spanish newspaper he was showing 'very weak' vital signs, adding that doctors could decide to switch off the machines 'at any moment'.
With rumours swirling that Chavez had taken a turn for the worse, Venezuela's Vice President Nicolas Maduro said the ailing president's condition remains 'delicate' three weeks after his cancer surgery.
He did not provide further information about the president's condition and told Venezuelan's to ignore speculation about his health.
Many Venezuelan's have been left frustrated over the lack of information over the president's condition.
Chavez's political opponents have complained that the government hasn't told the country nearly enough and have demanded it provide the country with a full medical report.
Even some of his supporters say they wished they knew more.

DeleteWelcome back LL, Hope you had a good one!
ReplyDeleteStrange that Chavez goes to Cuba for treatment…. I’m aware that Castro always claimed to produce better doctors to any other country even though they made no great impact whilst working in South Africa, In fact I don't think they stayed that long either.
According to John Pilger in his documentary ‘The War on Democracy’ he regards Chavez as "the only leader of an oil-producing nation who has used its resources democratically for the education and health of its people."
All the more reason to stay and be treated at home unless of course his popularity is such that he fears having one of his own 'pull the plug' on him?
I don't think that's the issue. I think Venezuela is just like Zimbabwe and their health care sucks. So these dictators run off to their nearest friend to patch them up. It may also be because he can hide the truth of his illness from his people? In any case, may he have a glorious ride into hell.
