Australia: Greens split over coal company hoax

We all know that the Left are a bunch of intolerant pansies, unable to hold a debate because they base all their ideology on emotions, rather than hard-cold facts.

When last did Gore debate his AGW stand? Never. He was too afraid. When last did climate 'scientists' debate skeptics? Almost never. Oh, a few have tried, but once they get their butts kicked they respectfully decline further debates due to 'conflicts in their schedules'. They would much rather hold Climate Change love-fests symposiums - where they have to travel to exotic locations via plane - one after the other, and where skeptics are not welcome and only those who worship at the alter of Gaia are.

Of course we now know that the AGW posturing buffoon Al Gore was a joke - it was just a way for him to get uber-rich while preaching to the little people about having less children (he has 4) and to leave a small carbon foot-print (he has mansions, flies around the world and has no solar panels on any of his houses - one of which is right next to the rising sea). Oh, he must have felt like a god as his little Goricles hung onto his every word and bowed down to kiss his all-knowing Gaia toes. So, what a shock it must have been for the poor dears when he sold his Current TV station to Al Jazeera, owned by Qatar - a country which uses Big Oil money to fund their global Islam push. Suckers.

And here in Australia, we also have our fair share of crazy Green moonbats. Just the other day, one such moonbat, Jonathan Moylan thought he would be cute and write a fake press release on a fake ANZ bank letter-head stating that the bank had cancelled a $1.2 billion loan facility for Whitehaven's Maules Creek project in northwest NSW. That little Green joke led to $300 million temporarily being wiped off the value of Whitehaven Coal. Mr Moylan justified his action as follows:

"I was hoping for ANZ Bank to publicly expose themselves as using their customers’ money to fund a mine that was destroying peoples’ lives."

Isn't he cute? 

However, the biggest take-home message from this skit has been the Greens Party reaction. Both the leader Christine Milne, and fellow Greens member, radical communist Lee Rhiannon, praised Mr Moylan. See, it's okay for their side to break the law because it's for a "just" cause. It's called Civil Disobedience when they want to justify their lawbreaking methods. And anyone not with their Green ideology are classed as skeptics, deniers, xenophobes, racists, right-wing extremists etc....

Is any other party in Australia led by people who publicly and so shamelessly defend lying? And yet they'd like us to believe that they are the morally superior party.

This is what I think of when I think of a Greens voter:

THE Australian Greens are split over a hoax that temporarily wiped $300 million off the value of Whitehaven Coal.

Greens leader Christine Milne has said the action was part a long and proud history of civil disobedience.

Her colleague Lee Rhiannon congratulated activist Jonathan Moylan, who issued a bogus press release purporting to be from the ANZ Bank and which said the bank had cancelled a $1.2 billion loan facility for Whitehaven's Maules Creek project in northwest NSW.

But another Greens senator, Sarah Hanson-Young, says the stunt was not something she would encourage.

When asked whether she supported Mr Moylan's action, she told Sky News today: “I wouldn't be encouraging people to go willy-nilly and taking this type of action.

“I understand why it was taken, I understand the frustrations but don't encourage others to do it.”

Senator Hanson-Young said political action in the past had helped create social change.

“This one obviously has caused a stir.”

Another Greens senator, Peter Whish-Wilson, said he would not have taken the protest action.

“And neither would I publicly congratulate an activist for taking that action,” he told The Australian Financial Review.

“I have a different view to Senator Rhiannon in that respect.”

Senator Whish-Wilson insisted he did not disagree with his leader's comments, but said protests like Mr Moylan's had costs and consequences.
