U.S. Unemployment Increases in Mid-February

Last month there was much fanfare from the Obama administration regarding the unemployment rate dipping to 8.3%. What Obama failed to highlight to the American people, is that 1.2 million people dropped out of the labor force and therefore weren't counted in the stats - giving hope where these was none (as per the entire Obama hope 'n change period). This month the unemployment figure is back up to 9%. Guess hiding figures only works for so long until the truth emerges.... 


Gallup's U.S. Unemployment Rate, Monthly Averages


PRINCETON, NJ -- The U.S. unemployment rate, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, is 9.0% in mid-February, up from 8.6% for January. The mid-month reading normally reflects what the U.S. government reports for the entire month, and is up from 8.3% in mid-January.
