Rush: Maybe Obama's an Illegal Alien Himself

Oooh goodie - things are hotting up in America. We have states rushing to follow Arizona's example of identifying illegals and now we have more and more conservatives getting brave nd starting to question Obama's true nationality. Mr Obama - just show us your papers and we'll leave you alone...otherwise be prepared to be poked and prodded about this for a while.

Is Rush Limbaugh a birther? It sure sounded that way to Mediaite during his rant yesterday about illegal immigration. Rush was obsessing over a recent Obama statement condemning Arizona's new illegal immigration law, in which the president worried that “if you don't have your papers...you're gonna be harassed.”

To Rush, the use of the word “papers” rather than, say, “documentation” was a deliberate attempt to evoke Nazi Germany. “I can understand Obama being touchy on the subject of producing your papers,” Rush bellowed. “Maybe he's afraid someone is going to ask him for his!”

No crisis in SA's sewage system and no need for public to know either

Another smelly South African government failure. And the minister wants R23 billion to fix the problem! Well, dear lady, that ain't going to happen. You see, it goes like this...the ANC has plundered the tax money to enrich themselves - they can't even find money to buy land back from farmers for the "disadvantaged masses"(so now they're just going to start taking it - but that's another story for another day). Where do you think the ANC is going to find this type of money to fix something that isn't considered a crisis....yet (cause they're used to living in this crap anyways)? They have welfare; soccer stadia; pot holes; crime; education; health; houses;  the President's 20 children etc. to fund and the white tax payer base is getting smaller and smaller. Oh, and don't forget, they also need to "lose" some tender money for their bank accounts as well. Ah, the rainbow nation, soon available in all shades of brown! Any retired (read: ousted because you're white) engineers are wanted to repair this mess...don't all rush at once.

Water affairs minister Buyelwa Sonjica on Thursday finally released a report on the state of sewage treatment throughout South Africa. It paints a grim picture of millions of litres of raw sewage flowing into waterways. But there is no crisis yet, Sonjica insisted, because there aren't mass disease outbreaks yet. And there is no need to alarm the public with more complete and more up-to-date figures either.

It's called the Green Drop report, and it is not pretty. According to the interpretation of the department of water affairs, based on criteria it chose and weighted, 55% of the sewage plants measured require drastic intervention soon, because they are grossly mismanaged, are dumping raw sewage into waterways or simply don't monitor or report data on their operations at all.

That is somewhat on the optimistic side, however. Because of what the department says is the large number and wide spread of sewage treatment plants, the survey wasn't complete. The rural the plants were the ones more likely to be skipped, and they were generally less likely to be working well. In the Eastern Cape the assessment rate was just over a quarter of all treatment plants in the province; in Limpopo less than a third of plants were looked at.

That shows in provincial statistics, with poorer, less urbanised regions doing very badly indeed. In Limpopo every single last plant that was looked at failed the (reasonably generous) test applied by the national government. In the Free State the failure rate was 80%, in the North West it was 77%. In Gauteng, on the other hand, it was only 20%.

Does that translate into a crisis? Not by Sonjica's reckoning.

Crisis? It depends how you define crisis," she said in response to the question. "I would rather say we have reason to be concerned, but I don't think we have reached crisis levels. I would think that if we had reached crisis levels…. we would be talking about an outbreak of many diseases, waterborne diseases, and we are not there.”

Asked for clarification, she re-iterated that "when everybody is sick in the country" it may be appropriate to declare an emergency, but up to that point "we have a very serious challenge that we are busy addressing".

The challenge is serious enough that Sonjica delayed the release of the Green Drop report by several months, since at least the end of 2009, while formulating a response. It would be alarmist of government to release such data without also showing it has a plan of action, she said. "As a government we don't have the luxury of just making people aware without offering solutions."

Those solutions include going to the Treasury with the begging bowl out for at least R23 billion, trying to convince retired engineers to go work at far-flung municipal plants, and reaching out to the United Kingdom for help and advice.
When (not if, as much as we'd like to believe so) a fatal outbreak of a disease like cholera occurs in South Africa again, we'll be interested to see how Sonjica reacts. We'll be even more interested to hear what the courts have to say when relatives of the dead claim that the department of water affairs was aware of the risk, and had a duty to forewarn, but chose the path of secrecy instead.

More Blacks Than Whites Want To Flee SA

No guys - you get to stay in South Africa and support the government you and your parents voted for. Now that the country is in ruins you want to run away and sponge off the next country that will have and support you? What happened to "Africa for Africans"? Stay there and correct your mistakes - stop blaming everyone for the mess your people have made. They caused this now live with it!

A new poll shows that 42% of Black South African youth want to leave the country as soon as they can, while 33% of White and Indian teens want to go.

Those who wanted to leave South Africa all agreed on their reasoning: 73% said the ANC-led government was not living up its promises, 71% said it was impossible to find work, and 58% cited crime as their reason for wanting to leave.

In reporting on the stunning survey, the Sunday Times quoted 14-year-old Zakithi Mshololo as saying that South Africa is going “down the drain” and she has no intention of going down with it.

The BratTrax study surveyed 900 youths ranging in age from 7 to 15 years and was conducted by Youth Dynamics.

Now Utah Wants the Same Bill as Arizona

Well lookee here folks. Seems that the new illegal immigrant law signed in by Arizona has "inspired" other states to copy it. The excuse they use? It's to staunch the flow of illegal immigrants from Arizona into Utah. Wow - guess the new law is actually working! Who would've thunk? All iIlegals - please head to that liberal-progressive Utopia of California where everyone is welcome - no papers required....

The political and legal fallout now plaguing Arizona after that state's passage of one of the nation's toughest new immigration laws could soon be headed for Utah.

Arizona's SB1070, signed into law Friday by Gov. Jan Brewer, calls for, in part, all local law enforcement officers to ask for immigration status documents "whenever there is reasonable suspicion that the person is unlawfully present."

Rep. Stephen Sandstrom, R-Orem, told the Deseret News Monday he's started work on drafting a bill for the 2011 Utah legislative session that uses the Arizona statute as a model — a move he said is necessary to stanch the flow of illegal immigrants into the Beehive State.

"It is imperative that we pass similar legislation here in Utah," Sandstrom said. "In the past, when we've seen tougher legislation in Arizona … a lot of illegal immigrants just move here."

While critics of the bill say it will lead to racial profiling and likely makes inroads into rights protected under the Fourth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, Sandstrom said it's no different from enforcement policy local police officers already use.

"If you get pulled over for driving intoxicated, what's the first thing the officer asks for?" Sandstrom said. "Your ID, right? This is the same thing, the same work police officers are already doing … asking for documentation that relates to probable cause."

That law enforcement inquiry is one that American Civil Liberties Union of Utah director Karen McCreary said is unacceptable.

"This Arizona statute amounts to requiring the carrying of 'papers,' " McCreary said. "We just don't do that in America."

Italy: Adoptive parents 'can't specify child's race'

Ok - now I've heard it all. See, Italy has decided that it's racist to specify the race of the baby you'd like to adopt. You aren't allowed to prefer a child from your own race - it's racist. I wonder if it would also be considered racist should a black couple prefer to adopt a black baby? Let's see how the rate of adoption drops in Italy in the near future....

Rome - Italian couples, who are seeking to adopt a child, are guilty of racism if they reject black or non-European children, the prosecutor at Italy's highest court claimed on Wednesday. The prosecutor backed a court petition by Italy's Friends of Children association of adoptive and foster parents (AIBI).

The Court of Cassation's prosecutor agreed with AIBI's petition that a previous ruling by a court in Catania was racist because it allowed a couple who did not want black or non-European children to adopt a child.

He said it breached the Italian constitution and international human rights law.

"Mercenary" interests such as those of the unidentified couple should "disqualify them from being parents," AIBI said in its petition.

The petition is expected to be considered by judges from all sections of the Court of Cassation. The high court's rulings almost invariably follow the prosecutor's recommendations.

"The Catania court's ruling is at odds with Italian adoption law and legislation protecting children. It is illegitimate because it flouts international conventions outlawing all forms of racial discrimination," AIBI president Marco Griffini wrote in the petition to the court.

"The court should uphold the rights of children to grow up and be educated in a family environment without being discriminated against on grounds of sex, ethnic and linguistic identity and in full respect for their cultural identity."

If the court rules in favour of the AIBI's petition, lower Italian courts will no longer be able to allow such 'racist' couples to adopt.

Belgian bid to ban 'racist' Tintin in the Congo

Blow me another one! Tintin is now racist! Is nothing sacred anymore? Why don't the Congolese write their own comic books and poke fun at white people? I wouldn't mind or get offended or read it for that matter. Who is he to live in someone else's country and tell them what books they can read or what warnings they should carry? Is he for real? And shame on us for allowing it.

A Congolese man living in Belgium is trying to get a controversial Tintin book banned in the cartoon star's home country of Belgium

The ginger sleuth's "little (black) helper" in Tintin in the Congo is seen as "stupid and without qualities," Bienvenu Mbutu, is quoted as saying. "It makes people think that blacks have not evolved," said Mbutu, who has been campaigning for years to have the book removed from Belgian shops.

A court was to rule on whether the book can be sold in Belgium and, if so, whether it should carry a warning. Although it was scheduled for Wednesday, the verdict has been delayed and is now expected on May 5.

The book has already attracted much criticism for its crude racial stereotypes. Three years ago, the U.K.'s Commission for Racial Equality called for the book to be banned, saying it contained imagery and words of hideous racial prejudice.

A black woman is featured in the book bowing before Tintin and exclaiming: "White man very great. White mister is big juju man!" Written in the late 1920s, it was the second Tintin adventure created by Herge, who later said it was a youthful sin that reflected the prejudices of the time.

A scene in Tintin in the Congo in which the eponymous hero gave a geography lesson to Africans about Belgium was later changed to a math class. Now U.K. editions are generally found alongside more adult books and are sold with a band of paper around the outside, warning the content is offensive.

While Mbutu has asked for the book to be banned, he has said he would be satisfied if it was sold with a warning like the one used in Britain, said the BBC's Dominic Hughes in Brussels.

New Name for Obama: The Manchurian President

Some light-hearted reading for those who would like to know a little more about the current POTUS (seeing as just about no one knows anything about him). I assume the title hints at him  having been brainwashed into being an unwitting assassin for the Communist Party...The more I read about this man the scarier he becomes. Just who and what has been unleashed on the American people? I think I'll be getting me one of them copies. According to one of the reviews I've read, if only 10% of what is written is true then the USA is in deep trouble.....

In “New name for Obama: The Manchurian President" Book exposes radical nexus behind chief executive that is changing America,” WND reports that “The Manchurian President” is to be released Monday in book stores and through outlets online.

President Obama has deep ties to an anti-American extremist nexus that has been instrumental not only in building his political career but in crafting current White House policy, charges a new book. …

The book exposes an extremist coalition of communists, socialists and other radicals working both inside and outside the administration to draft and advance current White House policy goals.

With more than 800 citations, the brand-new, autographed title from WND senior reporter Aaron Klein bills itself as the most exhaustive investigation ever performed into Obama’s political background and radical ties. Klein’s co-author is historian and researcher Brenda J. Elliott.

“The Manchurian President” contains potentially explosive information not only about President Obama but also concerning other officials in the White House, including top czars and senior advisers Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod.

The book also includes an extensive investigation into Obama’s own background. The work uncovers, among many other things, Obama’s early years, including his previously overlooked early childhood ties to a radical, far-left church. The book provides copious new details about Obama’s deep ties to the unrepentant Weatherman Underground terrorist group founder William Ayers and about the president’s boyhood years in Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

Of all Obama’s radical associates from the past, few received more attention or were as shocking as his connection to Ayers. The book uncovers for the first time where and how Obama first met Ayers – and it is much earlier than previously believed.

“The Manchurian President” also unmasks, exclusively, important aspects of Obama’s carefully covered-up college years, with new details of his student career at Occidental College and later at Columbia University.

Obama’s associations with the Nation of Islam, Black Liberation Theology and black political extremists are also revealed, with extensive new information on the subjects.

Also detailed are Obama’s deep ties to ACORN, which are much more extensive than previously documented elsewhere. The book crucially describes how a socialist-led, ACORN-affiliated union helped facilitate Obama’s political career and now exerts major influence in the White House.

In one chapter, the book unmasks the extremists among Obama’s “czars” and other top advisers, including new information linking Axelrod and Jarrett to communist activists.

The many issues pertaining to Obama’s eligibility to be president are carefully examined and given a much more extensive analysis than in previous works, including questions about Obama’s birth documentation and whether or not he legally qualifies as a “natural-born citizen” according to the U.S. Constitution.

“The Manchurian President” also exposes how Obama’s health-care policy, masked by moderate populist rhetoric, was pushed along and partially crafted by extremists, some of whom reveal in their own words that their principal aim is to achieve corporate socialist goals and a vast increase in government powers.

“I believe this work is crucial to Americans from across the political spectrum,” says Klein, “including mainstream Democrats who should be alarmed that their party has been hijacked by an extreme-left fringe bent on permanently changing the party to fit its radical agenda.

“Indeed, this book will document, with new information, Obama’s own involvement with a socialist party whose explicit goal was to infiltrate and eventually take over the Democratic Party and mold it into a socialist organization,” Klein claims.

Klein began investigating Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign and broke major national stories. He first exposed the politician’s association with Ayers in a widely circulated WND article.

That story prompted the Nation magazine to lament, via the CBS News website, that “mainstream reporters now call the Obama campaign to ask about Klein’s articles.”

It was in a WABC Radio interview on the John Batchelor Show with Klein that Ahmed Yousef, chief political adviser to Hamas, “endorsed” Obama for president, generating world headlines and sparking controversy. Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain and Obama repeatedly traded public barbs over Hamas’ positive comments.

Klein was among the first reporters to expose that Obama’s “green jobs” czar, Van Jones, founded a communist organization and called for “resistance” against the U.S. government. The theme was picked up and expanded upon by the Fox News Channel’s Glenn Beck, leading to Jones’ resignation last September.

Co-author Brenda J. Elliott is a historian, author and investigative researcher known for her blogging during the 2008 presidential election about Ayers, Tony Rezko and other controversial figured linked to Obama. Since 1988, Elliott has been responsible for a number of historical projects, has won an award by Project Censored for her work and has been named “One of the Intriguing People” by Central Florida magazine.

The introduction to “The Manchurian President” relates: “Barack Obama is backed by and deeply tied to an anti-American fringe nexus that, as this book will show, was instrumental not only in mentoring Obama and helping him to build his political career, but essentially in overthrowing the moderate wing of the Democratic Party and in securing and powerfully influencing Obama’s presidency.

“As will be seen, these radical associates not only continue to influence Obama and White House strategy, but some are directly involved in creating the very policies intended to undermine or radically transform the United States of America.”

The 2010 TIME 100 - Glenn Beck

The Time 100 World's most influential people list is out and Glenn Beck has made it. Love him or hate him, he has done a lot to wake the conservative American people up by giving them facts and proper history lessons - not the bleached version of the libs. I now know more about the USA constitution and the founding fathers than I thought I'd ever need to know. My only problem with GB is that he should stick to USA history and stay away from making comments on other countries as he usually puts his foot in it. Otherwise, well done Glenn! I'm sure your progressive fans will be lining up to congratulate you!

By Sarah Palin

Who'd have thought a history buff with a quirky sense of humor and a chalkboard could make for such riveting television? Glenn's like the high school government teacher so many wish they'd had, charting and connecting ideas with chalk-dusted fingers — kicking it old school — instead of becoming just another talking-heads show host. Self-taught, he's become America's professor of common sense, sharing earnestly sought knowledge with an audience hungry for truth. Glenn, 46, tackles topics other news shows would regard as arcane. Consider his desire to teach Americans about the history of the progressive movement: he's doing to progressive what Ronald Reagan did to liberal — explaining that it's a damaged brand.

His love of the Founding Fathers inspires others to learn and respect our nation's history. Best of all, Glenn delights in driving the self-proclaimed powers-that-be crazy. (The whole country awaits the red phone ringing!). Even his critics (whom he annihilates in ratings) have to admire his amazing ability to galvanize everyday Americans to better themselves and peacefully engage their government. Though he sometimes dismisses himself as an aw-shucks guy or just a "rodeo clown," he's really an inspiring patriot who was once at the bottom but now makes a much needed difference from the very, very top.

Palin, a former governor of Alaska, was the Republican candidate for Vice President in 2008

Team Obama Calls Out the SWAT Team on Tea Party Patriots

OMG - hide the children; nail down the windows; go get supplies; get to those bunkers - the evil Tea Party Patriots are loose again! You never know what they're capable of. WARNING - some people may find the pictures below shocking - look at your own peril.....Thank goodness we have Obama here to protect us from these unhinged wackos. He even sent in the SWAT team to keep everyone safe!

The SWAT Team was called in today at the Quincy Tea Party Rally. Obama was speaking at the convention center this afternoon.

They were singing “God Bless America” …A sure sign of violence.

Police state: How Mexico treats illegal aliens

Michelle Malkin climbs into the hypocrisy - or rather hipócritas - of the Mexican President. After reading her article, I must say she does have a point or two...or three. Actually, she makes lots of good points and now I'm outraged too! You gotta love the liberals and their double triple standards. Go Arizona - you're on the right track - even your Governor's approval rating has gone through the roof!

Mexican President Felipe Calderon has accused Arizona of opening the door “to intolerance, hate, discrimination and abuse in law enforcement.” But Arizona has nothing on Mexico when it comes to cracking down on illegal aliens. While open-borders activists decry new enforcement measures signed into law in “Nazi-zona” last week, they remain deaf, dumb or willfully blind to the unapologetically restrictionist policies of our neighbors to the south.

The Arizona law bans sanctuary cities that refuse to enforce immigration laws, stiffens penalties against illegal alien day laborers and their employers, makes it a misdemeanor for immigrants to fail to complete and carry an alien registration document, and allows the police to arrest immigrants unable to show documents proving they are in the U.S. legally. If those rules constitute the racist, fascist, xenophobic, inhumane regime that the National Council of La Raza, Al Sharpton, Catholic bishops and their grievance-mongering followers claim, then what about these regulations and restrictions imposed on foreigners?

– The Mexican government will bar foreigners if they upset “the equilibrium of the national demographics.” How’s that for racial and ethnic profiling?

– If outsiders do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy,” they are not welcome. Neither are those who show “contempt against national sovereignty or security.” They must not be economic burdens on society and must have clean criminal histories. Those seeking to obtain Mexican citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam and prove they can provide their own health care.

– Illegal entry into the country is equivalent to a felony punishable by two years’ imprisonment.
– Law enforcement officials at all levels — by national mandate — must cooperate to enforce immigration laws, including illegal alien arrests and deportations. The Mexican military is also required to assist in immigration enforcement operations. Native-born Mexicans are empowered to make citizens’ arrests of illegal aliens and turn them in to authorities.
– Ready to show your papers? Mexico’s National Catalog of Foreigners tracks all outside tourists and foreign nationals.
All of these provisions are enshrined in Mexico’s Ley General de Población (General Law of the Population) and were spotlighted in a 2006 research paper published by the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Security Policy. There’s been no public clamor for “comprehensive immigration reform” in Mexico, however, because pro-illegal alien speech by outsiders is prohibited.

But under the Mexican constitution, such political speech by foreigners is banned. Noncitizens cannot “in any way participate in the political affairs of the country.”
As for abuse, the Mexican government is notorious for its abuse of Central American illegal aliens who attempt to violate Mexico’s southern border. The Red Cross has protested rampant Mexican police corruption, intimidation and bribery schemes targeting illegal aliens there for years. Mexico didn’t respond by granting mass amnesty to illegal aliens, as it is demanding that we do. It clamped down on its borders even further. In late 2008, the Mexican government launched an aggressive deportation plan to curtain illegal Cuban immigration and human trafficking through Cancun.

Meanwhile, Mexican consular offices in the United States have coordinated with left-wing social justice groups and the Catholic Church leadership to demand a moratorium on all deportations and a freeze on all employment raids across America.

Mexico is doing the job Arizona is now doing — a job the U.S. government has failed miserably to do: putting its people first. Here’s the proper rejoinder to all the hysterical demagogues in Mexico (and their sympathizers here on American soil) now calling for boycotts and invoking Jim Crow laws, apartheid and the Holocaust because Arizona has taken its sovereignty into its own hands:

Career Ruined? Adopt a Negro!

Another stupid white liberal woman. Maybe that's why Jesse packed his bags? Goodness knows I would've done the same...

Recently, I speculated what Sandra Bullock would do to rebut the inevitable accusations of racism following Jesse James’s swastika scandal. Well, now we know.

Mrs. Bullock is going to imitate her on screen alter ego by adopting a Negro child, the ultimate status symbol for the Hollywood elite. Supposedly, she and James adopted this child before the Oscars and the secret was kept until now because of all the controversy. I suppose that’s true, but suffice to say I would not be horribly shocked if it’s not.

Who is the boy’s actual birth mother? Who knows? Who cares? God knows it would be useless to ask who is the father.

Adopting a Negro has several benefits. First, of course, you don’t actually have to go through the hard work of having a child. Like a television, or a new car, you simply pick up your newest consumer good through the proper channels, thus preserving your body, your all important moneymaker.

Second, the Negro is an invaluable prop in showing off your moral superiority and altruism, while simultaneously staying on the cutting edge of fashionable culture. A confused looking nonwhite child dressed up in the latest designer clothes (for kidz!) tells the world that you are both rich and righteous.

Third, of course, it rebuts any accusation of racism, especially relevant for poor Sandra here. If she indeed adopted this child months ago, it is a fortunate bonus for her. I can’t wait for the television interview when Sandra can effortlessly decry her ex-husband’s racism, especially considering how they were going to raise a real, authentic, black child of color and lift him heroically out of oppression together. Adopting a Negro makes you Teflon as far as racism accusations go. (Well, at least until your cute little pickaninny grows up into a Proud Black Man, who can than denounce you as a “typical white person” and call you a racist. But if you’re a Hollywood celebrity, you’ll have OD’d by then anyway.)
Fourth, it confirms you as a member of the global anti-culture. You proclaim your proud separation from all the bigoted, particular attachments of your despised white heritage. In fact, if you don’t have kids of your own, you get to end that evil bloodline once and for all. Instead, with the last flickering spark of your line, you get to glorify yourself not just above your kin, but actually at their expense. In so doing, you proclaim your membership in a global fraternity of cosmopolitan, atomized individuals who are citizens of the world and proclaim no loyalty to anything except the liberal creed of nondiscrimination. (Of course, you are still below the highest global fraternity of all, which is a group — shall we say a tribe – of individuals who do not believe such illusions and who run your industry. That, however, is a topic for another time.)

Finally, there’s one last bonus. Maybe one day we can teach him to throw a ball and we can make a movie about him too!

This kid is obviously better off with Sandra Bullock than without support of any kind. Nonetheless, he is clearly losing something too. While it’s stupid to read too much into facial expressions in pictures, I can’t help but observe that he doesn’t look thrilled on the PEOPLE cover. Even he seems to sense that this whole situation is disgusting and unnatural.

Many black organizations have been complaining recently about these transracial adoptions. They argue that black children are not allowed to connect with their culture and that the children are actually traumatized by these unnatural encounters. It could be argued that this child would be psychologically healthier and better off with a middle class black couple who couldn’t conceive rather than with a rich celebrity that wants to show off.

Of course, blacks who express concerns like this are right, but they are missing the point. Sandra Bullock is the point here, not the child. It is she that we must celebrate and admire.

Boy calm in cot as dad dies

Back to reality. Another white male brutally murdered on a smallholding, less than 200m from a police station. How does this mother tell her kids? What more can I say... I see they're blaming the attack on robbers - but we know better.

Pretoria - A 2-year-old boy was standing calmly in his cot when members of the community of Boschkop, in the east of Pretoria, discovered his father's body in the dressing room of the master bedroom on Wednesday morning.

Dirk Human, 41, was covered in blood after he was viciously assaulted by robbers.

Paramedics were frantically trying to save his life when his wife, Yolanda, arrived at the Mooiplaats smallholding. She held his hand and begged him to wake up.

However, Dirk died without regaining consciousness.

She was still too traumatised to speak to Beeld on Wednesday, and has also not been able to make a statement to the police.

Anti-crime operation a day earlier

While members of the community and the police were milling about outside the house, a friend of the Humans arrived.

Yolande Barnard burst into tears and collapsed when she heard of the murder.

The attack on Wednesday morning happened less than 24 hours after nearly 300 members of the community and local police took part in an anti-crime operation.

Police spokesperson Marinda Stoltz said an unknown number of men gained access to Human's property. They locked the domestic worker in her room, and held Human in the house.

Several shots were fired in a struggle between him and the robbers. An investigation will determine who fired the shots.

Beeld has learned that Human was also stabbed in the face with a sharp object, but Stoltz was unable to confirm this.

Johan van Wyk, a resident in the area who was one of the first people at the scene, said Human's neighbour had heard his domestic worker scream. She called for help on the CB (citizen band) radio at 07:20.

Yolanda and their other son, aged 8, had left the house at about 06:50.

Lettie Lebina said while she was locked up in her room, the only thing she could hear was a "noise" and somebody shouting: "Shoot, shoot, shoot!"

Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation

When Van Wyk and the other two neighbourhood watch members arrived at the house, Lebina yelled at them that the child was in the house.

"We walked into the house and found the boy in the master bedroom where he was standing quite peacefully in his cot," said Van Wyk.

"He wasn't crying. We saw his dad lying in the dressing room. His dad was just out of his sight. The father's hands were tied with shoelaces and his head lay in the cupboard. There was a lot of blood.

"We started doing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and kept going until the paramedics arrived."

Two weeks before Human was murdered, someone also tried to break into the house. Van Wyk claimed that Human hadn't reported it, because the police station had been closed.

The house is less than 200m from the police station.

In response, Stoltz said a police station may never be closed. According to her, the door may have been closed due to the weather, and officials might have been sitting in the office at the back near the charge office, but there should always be someone there.

Human's stolen Colt bakkie was later found abandoned in Mamelodi, in the east of Pretoria.

Cops in hot water over poster

Check the showerhead in Zuma's hand!! Hee hee. I'm not sure why the police don't find this funny. No sense of humor if you ask me.

Cape Town - Three officials from the South African Police Service (Saps) have been suspended for forwarding an email containing a manipulated movie poster featuring the faces of President Jacob Zuma and ANC youth leader Julius Malema.

Police spokesperson Novela Potelwa said three women were suspended pending a disciplinary investigation. They are each facing a complaint of inappropriate behaviour while on duty.

Two of them are clerks from the Woodstock police station and the other is an official from the Paarl-East police station. They were suspended three weeks ago.

The email contains a manipulated poster for the Bad Boys II film. The original poster features Will Smith, firearm in hand, and Martin Lawrence.

In the manipulated version, Smith's face is replaced with that of Zuma and Malema takes the place of Lawrence. The title was also changed to Bad Boys III, and the firearm in Will Smith's hand was replaced with a shower head (in Zuma's hand).

Gordon Brown calls campaigner 'bigoted woman'

Too easy! Fodder for us bloggers.... In case anyone in the world hasn't seen or heard the tape where Gordon Brown calls a 66 year old campaigner 'bigoted woman', here it is. Hilarious! And watching him to try to squirm out of being caught with his pants down is even funnier! He didn't "mean" it blah blah blah...Mr Brown - we KNOW you meant it so just stand by what you said and take the heat like a man. Or are you scared it's going to cost you an election? You, sir, showed your true colors and now your voters know what you're really like.

Gillian Duffy, a 66-year-old widow, told the Prime Minister that she was concerned about immigration from Eastern Europe. Mr Brown chatted to her for five minutes and appeared to end the conversation amicably, telling her she came from a "good family".

But he was unaware that his microphone was still on as he got into his car and sped away, and was heard berating his staff for allowing the encounter.

He told an aide: "That was a disaster. Should never have put me with that woman. Whose idea was that?"
The aide asked what Mrs Duffy had said, and Mr Brown replied: "Everything. She's just a sort of bigoted woman who says she used to be Labour."

Ironically Mrs Duffy, a former council worker, had said that she had been happy with Mr Brown's responses and would be voting for him.

She said their conversation had been "very good," adding: "seems a nice man."

Asked on a subsequent BBC Radio 2 interview about the remarks, Mr Brown said "I apologise if I have said anything like that. What I think she was raising with me was an issue about immigration and saying that there were too many people from Eastern Europe in the country.

"I do apologise if I have said anything that has been hurtful and I will apologise to her personally."

Mr Brown put his head in his hands as he was played the recording, apparently unaware that there was a television camera in the radio studio.

When she heard of Mr Brown's remarks, Mrs Duffy said that she was "very upset and angry".

The Prime Minister phoned Mrs Duffy to apologise personally.

His spokesman said: "He was letting off steam in the car after a difficult conversation. But this is exactly the sort of conversation that is important in an election campaign and which he will continue to have with voters."

During their earlier conversation, she had told the Prime Minister that she was concerned that vulnerable people were missing out on support while those who did not deserve them where able to claim benefits.

She went on: "All these Eastern Europeans, where are they coming from?"

Mr Brown said that a million Europeans had come to the United Kingdom, but that a similar number of Britons were now living on the continent.

Mrs Duffy told him that she felt that the issue of immigration was not being discussed properly for reasons of political correctness. "You can't say anything about immigrants," she said.

Puerto Rico 51st State?

I don't know much about the implications other than what is summarised in the article. But, I thought my American readers may need to know about this, seeing as Congress is trying to pass this bill hush hush...shhhhh. See, that's what "open and transparent" government is all about!

Last night (Tuesday) on his TV show, Glenn Beck dropped another bombshell — on Thursday, Congress will take up a bill to make Puerto Rico a state. Why is our Congress doing this now? Secretly? Quickly? If it hadn’t been for one of Beck’s “Refounders” (a Congressional insider), would we even know about this? Why is this important to you and me?

Well, the word is out, and my local 9-12/Tea party organization sent this out this morning. First thing to hit my mailbox, in fact…

There is a bill to make Puerto Rico a state. Again, they are trying to pull one over on us and on Puerto Ricans, who have consistently said they do not want to become a state. Read below for more information (from Eagle Forum). This was also discussed by Rep Tom Price on a conference call yesterday.

Please consider this:
* The U.S. would transform, overnight, into a bilingual nation. At least half of Puerto Ricans do not speak English, the language of our U.S. Constitution and founding documents. The Washington Times article, “Puerto Rican statehood,” analyzes all the implications of adding a foreign language-speaking state to the Union.

* It would bring immediate demands for massive federal spending. The average income of Puerto Ricans is less than half that of our poorest state, and infrastructure and the environment are far below American standards. Puerto Rico has a population with a median national income of $17,741, nearly a third of that for the U.S.

* Puerto Rico is already a democracy. Despite the bill’s deceptive title, Puerto Rico already has an elected government and exists as a self-governed commonwealth of the U.S.

* Statehood would give Puerto Rico more congressional representation than 25 of our 50 states! It would inevitably give Democrats two additional U.S. Senators and 6 to 8 additional Members of the House.

H.R. 2499 is stealth legislation designed to lead to the admission of Spanish-speaking Puerto Rico as the 51st state, thereby making us a de facto bilingual nation, like Canada. The U.S. Congress should not be forcing Puerto Ricans to vote on statehood, especially since the Puerto Rican people have rejected statehood three times since 1991!

No Member of Congress who describes himself as a limited government, fiscal conservative should be casting a YEA vote for H.R. 2499, as Puerto Rican statehood would cause an immediate increase in federal expenditures, particularly for taxpayer-funded welfare state services.

Sponsored by Puerto Rican delegate Pedro Pierluisi (D), the Puerto Rico Democracy Act (H.R. 2499) – which has reared its ugly head a number of times over the past few congresses but has yet to have any success – would require Puerto Ricans to hold a national referendum to decide if they want Puerto Rico to remain a self-governing U.S. commonwealth, or become the 51st state.

The referendum would be set up as two plebiscites which would effectively deceive Puerto Ricans into voting for statehood. In the first round of votes, the Puerto Rican people would be given the choice between remaining a U.S. territory and “pursuing a different political status.” If the majority votes to maintain the status quo, this bill would require that Puerto Rico vote on this same issue every eight years.

If the majority votes for “different status,” a second round of votes would be held where Puerto Ricans would choose either statehood or independence-the status quo of “U.S. territory” would not even be an option! In other words, the two ballots would be rigged to favor the outcome of statehood, overriding the wishes of Americans and Puerto Ricans who want to maintain the current commonwealth status.

UK: Message to Marxists - Your Days are Numbered

For those who don't know, the BNP is a political party in the UK - which serves to protect the rights, heritage and future of the indigenous people of the islands. They are anti-immigration and want to rid the place of all illegals and "refugees" who sponge off their generous welfare benefits. Their leader, Nick Griffin is often vilified in the press as being racist and a Nazi. Well, doesn't that sound familiar? As soon as you're a little right of Stalin, you're a Nazi racist. Here is proof that the party is on the right track and the indigenous people are worried. If these people have the guts to put their vote where their worries are, then the BNP should do well in the upcoming election. Most of Europe is starting to swing back to the right after dipping their toes in multicultural hell.

An online poll shows that 25% of those polled, will vote British National Party in the 2010 election.

The poll is approximately 20 times larger than most sampling with numbers of pollsters at 23,791

Here are the results in no particular order except Marxist scum are shown first and the British National Party - the ONLY political party in Britain which tells the truth, is last in the menu before 'others'.

Labour war mongering Marxists - 17%

Conservative Islam loving Marxists - 20%

Liberal Democratic lying thieving Marxists - 16%

UKIP fake Tories who are not so happy about Islam Marxists - 15%

Green climate change lying scum Marxists - 2%

Plaid Cymru English hating Marxists - 0%

Scottish fake EU and Islamic Loving National Marxists - 1%

British National Party of democrats and patriots who hate Marxists - 25%

Other people who want to smash Britain Marxists - 3%

Diplomat Anjoum Noorani Debases, Degrades the Pope

Talk about double standards. And not just any double standard! This guy better change his name, move country, have facial recronstruction, fake his own death, because when the Catholics get mad they just may put a "fatwhahahaha" on him....any minute now....come on Catholics! Don't let me down!

Mutual respect? One way, baby.

No room for nobody but Islam. And the more righteous you are, the more they treat you like scum. A Muslim diplomat has insulted and degraded the Pope -- are Muslim embassies set afire? Is there a worldwide movement -- throwing shoes at Muslims, burning korans and Islamic flags? Are Christians beheading Muslims? No way.

The diplomat who has been disciplined over a Foreign Office memo mocking the Pope was accused last night of being “clueless” about the Catholic faith.

Anjoum Noorani, 31, was the leader of the Papal Visit Team which drew up a document suggesting the Pope should launch his own range of “Benedict” condoms, open an abortion clinic and stay in a council flat in Bradford.

Mr Noorani, whose identity has until now remained secret, was moved to “other duties” after he gave authorisation for the memo to be sent to Downing Street and three Whitehall departments.

The memo, which was leaked to The Sunday Telegraph, threatens to overshadow the Pope’s entire four-day visit in September after it prompted fury in the Vatican and among Catholics in Britain.

Senior members of the church have described Mr Noorani and his team as having “not the slightest understanding of Catholicism”. None of the four-strong group is thought to be a practising Catholic.

The memo, which also called for the Pope to bless a homosexual marriage, was emailed around Whitehall by Steven Mulvain, a 23-year-old Oxford graduate who describes his sexual orientation on a social networking website as “gay”.

He didn't recommend the Islamic way to handle Gay? Hang 'em high.

Mr Mulvain has not been disciplined for his role in the fiasco.

Mr Noorani, who, like Mr Mulvain, is a graduate of Balliol College, Oxford, chaired the “brainstorm” session which led to the “Ideal Visit” memo, which also proposed that the Pope should sing a duet with the Queen and sponsor a network of Aids clinics.

USA: Whose Country is This?

As usual, Pat wades in with a sobering, factual defence of the new "Nazi" state, Arizona. He's right - whose country is it anyway?

I wonder why?

By Patrick J. Buchanan

With the support of 70 percent of its citizens, Arizona has ordered sheriffs and police to secure the border and remove illegal aliens, half a million of whom now reside there.

Arizona acted because the U.S. government has abdicated its constitutional duty to protect the states from invasion and refuses to enforce America’s immigration laws.

“We in Arizona have been more than patient waiting for Washington to act,” said Gov. Jan Brewer. “But decades of inaction and misguided policy have created an unacceptable situation.”

We have a crisis in Arizona because we have a failed state in Washington.

What is the response of Barack Obama, who took an oath to see to it that federal laws are faithfully executed?

He is siding with the law-breakers. He is pandering to the ethnic lobbies. He is not berating a Mexican regime that aids and abets this invasion of the country of which he is commander in chief. Instead, he attacks the government of Arizona for trying to fill a gaping hole in law enforcement left by his own dereliction of duty.

He has denounced Arizona as “misguided.” He has called on the Justice Department to ensure that Arizona’s sheriffs and police do not violate anyone’s civil rights. But he has said nothing about the rights of the people of Arizona who must deal with the costs of having hundreds of thousands of lawbreakers in their midst.

How’s that for Andrew Jackson-style leadership?

Obama has done everything but his duty to enforce the law.

Undeniably, making it a state as well as a federal crime to be in this country illegally, and requiring police to check the immigration status of anyone they have a “reasonable suspicion” is here illegally, is tough and burdensome. But what choice did Arizona have?

The state has a fiscal crisis caused in part by the burden of providing schooling and social welfare for illegals and their families, who consume far more in services than they pay in taxes and who continue to pour in. Even John McCain is now calling for 3,000 troops on the border.

Police officers and a prominent rancher have been murdered. There have been kidnappings believed to be tied to the Mexican drug cartels. There are nightly high-speed chases through the barrios where innocent people are constantly at risk.

If Arizona does not get control of the border and stop the invasion, U.S. citizens will stop coming to Arizona and will begin to depart, as they are already fleeing California.

What we are talking about here is the Balkanization and breakup of a nation into ethnic enclaves. A country that cannot control its borders isn’t really a country anymore, Ronald Reagan reminded us.

The tasks that Arizonans are themselves undertaking are ones that belong by right, the Constitution and federal law to the Border Patrol, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and Homeland Security.

Arizona has been compelled to assume the feds’ role because the feds won’t do their job. And for that dereliction of duty the buck stops on the desk of the president of the United States.

Why is Obama paralyzed? Why does he not enforce the law, even if he dislikes it, by punishing the businessmen who hire illegals and by sending the 12 million to 20 million illegals back home? President Eisenhower did it. Why won’t he?

Because he is politically correct. Because he owes a big debt to the Hispanic lobby that helped deliver two-thirds of that vote in 2008. Though most citizens of Hispanic descent in Arizona want the border protected and the laws enforced, the Hispanic lobby demands that the law be changed.

Fair enough. But the nation rose up as one to reject the “path-to-citizenship” — i.e., amnesty — that the 2007 plan of George W. Bush, McCain, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama envisioned.

Al Sharpton threatens to go to Phoenix and march in the streets against the new Arizona law. Let him go.

Let us see how many African-Americans, who are today frozen out of the 8 million jobs held by illegal aliens that might otherwise go to them or their children, will march to defend an invasion for which they are themselves paying the heaviest price.

Last year, while Americans were losing a net of 5 million jobs, the U.S. government — Bush and Obama both — issued 1,131,000 green cards to legal immigrants to come and take the jobs that did open up, a flood of immigrants equaled in only four other years in our history.

What are we doing to our own people?

Whose country is this, anyway?

America today has an establishment that, because it does not like the immigration laws, countenances and condones wholesale violation of those laws.

Nevertheless, under those laws, the U.S. government is obligated to deport illegal aliens and punish businesses that knowingly hire them.

This is not an option. It is an obligation.

Can anyone say Barack Obama is meeting that obligation?

'This Is Alabama; We Speak English'

Driver's licenses offered in 12 foreign languages! You gotta be kidding me. As expected, the usual human right blah blah's are out in full force branding it.......shocker of shocks..........wait for it............you'll never believe it..........RACIST! And who the heck speaks Farsi?

Tim James is betting his election that Alabama voters prefer what he calls "common sense" to "political correctness." The Republican gubernatorial candidate is running a provocative ad arguing that Alabama's driver's license exam should be given only in English.

"This is Alabama; we speak English," James says. "If you want to live here, learn it." The campaign spot has had more than 60,000 views on YouTube
The son of former Alabama Gov. Fob James promises to do away with the 12 foreign languages the test currently offers if he is elected in November. In the ad, James suggests his goal is to save taxpayers money. "Maybe it's the businessman in me," he says.

In the blogosphere, though, many say the controversial ad is about far more than saving taxpayers money and contains coded political messages James hopes will strike a chord with Republican voters in the state.

The Atlantic's Marc Ambinder said it contains swipes against the federal government and President Barack Obama. Ambinder also noted that Alabama could lose federal funding if it offers the exams only in English.

"If the governor changes the rules, the state could lose billions of dollars in federal transportation funding," he wrote. "Conveniently, this allows James to hint at the prospect of a debate against Barack Obama's federal government, too."

Some say it is no mistake that the ad comes in the middle of an emotional debate over immigration reform.

The Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama said the ad would hurt the state's reputation. "Making the driver's license test available in English only is a bad move and inconsistent with the strong recruitment Alabama has done in the last 15 years to bring international business to our state," the coalition said in a statement Monday.

Ambinder said the "ethnic coding in the ad is unmistakable," and at The American Prospect, Tim Fernholtz said James was exploiting fear against Latino immigrants for political gain.

"Maintaining federal funding, keeping the roads safe, or even simple nondiscrimination don't seem to matter to James," Fernholtz wrote. "He'd rather exploit racial tension and hostility toward the national government to get ahead."

But James says the exams are a public safety issue. On his campaign website, he cited a 2004 U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report that connected a 72 percent increase in work/traffic-related fatalities to drivers' inability to read road signs in English.

"It makes common sense to ensure everyone with an Alabama driver's license knows and understands traffic laws and traffic signs," he said. "Political correctness may endear you to the Rachel Maddow crowd, but here in Alabama, the safety of our people comes first."

Drivers license exams are currently offered in Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese.

At the conservative blog Hot Air, the blogger "The Other McCain" had sympathy for James' position.

"C'mon, Farsi? Thai? in Alabama?"

What South Africa could learn from Greece...but probably won't.

Another brilliant article from David Bullard. In case you were wondering why South Africa seems to be less violent this week, our little gem, Foolius Julius Malema, popped over to see his new buddy Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. Now that's what I call a marriage made in heaven. Anyway, back to reality....

It’s been a quietish week in SA but that’s probably because Kiddie Amin has popped across to Venezuela to see for himself the economic miracles that Hugo Chavez has performed. No doubt Kiddie will come back with lots of great ideas for nationalizing the mining industry, freezing the bank accounts of the “privileged” and distributing wealth to the poor (after he has taken a substantial brokerage from himself of course). It could all be a bit depressing were it not for the fact that bad economic news seems to be genuinely spooking some members of the ANC. I even think I heard the President say that we must stop blaming apartheid now and do something for ourselves. Trevor Manuel was down at Mitchells Plain urging children to get an education and not a criminal record. Maybe the tide is turning at last.

Last week the Fraser Institute announced that it had relegated South Africa to 61st position from its previous 49th place in the world mining league. To quote from Dr James Greener’s weekly Tidemarks newsletter to his clients, “This dreadful news should not surprise anyone following the JSE mining sector. Only a small minority of the pure mining companies consistently declare a profit and some are amongst the Exchange’s largest loss-makers. They also have to devote copious resources to keeping abreast of the never ending stream of advice, instruction and obstruction emanating from clueless bureaucrats. Minerals Resources Minister Shabangu, who through no fault of her own, has no education or experience in this activity, has kindly pointed out that mining companies ought to be using modern exploration technology to enable them to discover “world-class” deposits. Does she perhaps imagine that mining houses still deploy grizzled old prospectors on mules to swirl grit around a pan?”

That says it all really. We have a Minerals Resources minister who clearly holds her position because of loyalty to a political party rather than because of any specialised knowledge or academic prowess. How can we possibly climb back up the mining league table with people like that in charge? Interestingly, the majority of China’s senior political figures have engineering degrees and it shows doesn’t it? If you’re going to drive an economy you have to have a thorough understanding of what you are driving. Most of our politicians and union leaders don’t even have a rudimentary understanding of economics which is why we are becoming less and less important in the world. Other than the stuff we have under the ground we have less and less to offer. Our most talented citizens move away as soon as they can. If they are white they know they cannot possibly be allowed to excel and if they are black they know they will always be regarded as AA beneficiaries. No surprise then that so many self respecting talented black South Africans are also planning to get the hell out and show that their talents have nothing whatsoever to do with being fast tracked.

Which brings me to Greece. How does it feel to be a citizen of that once great civilisation today? Pretty awful judging by the TV coverage. In a nutshell, Greece is bankrupt and now needs to go cap in hand to the European community and the International Monetary Fund for what the Financial Times called a R300 bln “lifeline”. If they don’t get that then they can’t continue to function as a country. The conditions for the lifeline will be higher taxes and a drastic reduction in government spending. What got Greece into this mess in the first place? They were spending more than they earned as a country and in order to create employment and keep the people happy the Greek government invented new jobs in an already bloated civil service. Civil servants don’t produce anything except forms so if your civil service greatly outnumbers your economically productive citizens then you are on the road to ruin. Add a dash of government corruption over the years and you’ll begin to understand how Greece got itself into this mess. How it can ever get out (unless Ouzo becomes the world’s favourite drink) is more difficult to fathom. The country’s shipping superiority is long gone and tourists may not want to visit a country where the basic utilities may or may not be available. Greece risks becoming part of the white third world. Whether hard working Germans will be happy to bail out profligate Greeks is another consideration. It’s not impossible that Greece will be chucked out of the European Union. After all, who wants to look after a wayward younger brother who won’t work and is always asking for money?

Notice any similarities with South Africa? Apart from our slide down the mining league, we are also hostile to investment and put all sorts of employment quota obstacles in the way of people who want to do business here. Our taxpayer base is dwindling and supports an increasingly large number of people who will never pay tax in their lives. Political corruption is rife at national and municipal level and we also have a bloated and ineffectual civil service. We could easily go the same way as Greece but while Greece will always be remembered as the seat of democracy we will be remembered as the country that had everything going for it in 1994 and lost it all in 20 years.

FF+: Murder rate killed South African dream

Read it and weep...or not. South Africa has the highest murder rate in the world - a stat the government seems to be mighty proud of seeing as the ANC are doing practically nothing to bring it down. Oh well, just another day in paradise...

Johannesburg - The high murder rate in South Africa has killed the idealism and dreams people had after the 1994 elections, which saw the advent of democracy in the country, the Freedom Front Plus said on Tuesday.

"Since 1994 more than 300 000 people have been murdered (328 244) in South Africa," FF Plus leader Pieter Mulder said in an excerpt from a speech delivered in Potchefstroom.

"That is an average of 60 people a day.

"The world average for murders is five in every 100 000, but in South Africa it is 38 in every 100 000. Nearly eight times as (much as) the world average.

"Since 1994 more than 3 000 farmers and farm workers have been murdered in more than 10 000 farm attacks. That gives a figure of more than 200 in every 100 000.

It was these figures which destroyed the idealism and dreams of South Africans post 1994.

Mulder said South Africa is racially more divided at the moment than at any other time since it held its first democratic election.

"With Malema (ANC Youth League president Julius Malema) on the one hand and radical comments on the other side, South Africa is today more polarised than any time since 1994."

He said racism was "easy politics".

Meanwhile, here's another addition to the farm murder stats...roughly 1 South African farmer is killed every 2 days for the last 16 years...and it's not genocide??

Farmer dies in Boschkop attack
Pretoria - A man in his 40s was killed on a farm in Boschkop, Pretoria on Wednesday morning, paramedics said.

The farm owner was found lying in a pool of blood at around 07:45, said Netcare 911 spokesperson Chris Botha.

He said the man had been attacked with a sharp object.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate him, but he died from his wounds on the scene.

New Arizona law forcing hard choices on migrants

Just as I suspected. The illegals are making plans to hightail it out of Arizona. Apparently, they didn't realise that the word illegal meant just that! Oh, and by the way, Arizona is now being labelled racist for upholding the law of the country. I heard even old Al Sharpton is wading in to support the illegals. Fancy that!

Roldan is among an estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants in the Mexico border state carefully weighing their options on Monday, three days after Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed the United States' toughest immigration measure into law.

Slated to take effect 90 days after the current legislative session adjourns, the measure backed by Republicans in the state legislature requires state and local police to determine if people are in the country illegally. Critics of the law say it is a mandate for racial profiling.

The law, which also makes it a crime to transport illegal immigrants and to hire day laborers off the street, has sent a jolt through the undocumented workforce in the state, the principal corridor for illegal migrants entering from Mexico.

Some like Roldan, 34, who has a steady job as a warehouse worker and three U.S.-born daughters in Phoenix schools, plan to stay put, lower their profile and wait to see how the law will affect them.

Others, like Mexican day laborer Jesus Aguilar, 52, say the measure leaves them few options but to leave Arizona and try their luck elsewhere.

"Since the law says that people hiring undocumented day laborers will get fined, no-one wants to (hire) us," said Aguilar, who early on Monday was among some two dozen migrants touting for landscaping and building work at a day labor site in north Phoenix.

"We are thinking of going to Utah or New Mexico ... Here it is just too racist," he added.

The law has raised fears that Hispanics will be racially profiled and police will actively hunt down illegal immigrants, who are estimated to number about 10.8 million in the nation and are the backbone of the shadow economy.

It is also expected to spark a legal challenge and has become a hot issue in the run-up to the mid-term congressional elections in November, when Democrats will defend their majorities in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives

For Mexican day laborer Rodolfo Espinoza, meanwhile, it was simply time to go back home to work as a fisherman on the Pacific coast of northwest Mexico, where he has a wife and four children.

"This new law gives us no other option than to leave ... I'm going back to Mexico, where I feel more comfortable," he added.

Creators of 'Everybody Draw Muhammad Day' drop gag after everybody gets angry

I think its worth noting that this is happening in America, you know, home of the brave — land of the free and all that Jazz? So these folks are in fear for their lives on American soil.

"Everybody Draw Muhammad Day?"

As South Park's Sheila Broflovski would say: "What, What, WHAT?"

The outcry from Comedy Central's decision to censor an episode of South Park with depictions of Muhammad last week led a cartoonist and a Facebook user to fight back. That is until they realized it might be controversial, apparently.

In declaring May 20th to be "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day," Seattle artist Molly Norris created a poster-like cartoon showing many objects -- from a cup of coffee to a box of pasta to a tomato -- all claiming to be the likeness of Muhammad.

Such depictions are radioactive as many Muslims believe that Islamic teachings forbid showing images of Muhammad.

"In light of the recent veiled (ha!) threats aimed at the creators of the television show South Park (for depicting Mohammed in a bear suit) by bloggers on Revolution Muslim's website, we hereby deemed May 20, 2010 as the first annual "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day," the original artwork reads.

On Friday, Norris told a radio talk show host in Seattle that she came up with the idea because "as a cartoonist, I just felt so much passion about what had happened..." noting that "it's a cartoonist's job to be non-PC."

That passion, it appears, has lessened. And fast.

Her stark website today reads: ""I am NOT involved in "Everybody Draw Mohammd [sic] Day!"

"I made a cartoon that went viral and I am not going with it. Many other folks have used my cartoon to start sites, etc. Please go to them as I am a private person who draws stuff," she writes.

It went viral, however, because she was the one who passed it around. Sending it to people like Dan Savage, a popular Seattle-based blogger and nationally syndicated sex advice columnist.

"I am sort of freaked out about my name/image being all over the place," her e-mail reads.

He didn't change it, nor did he post the tamer version. Besides, after Savage posted it, many other sites picked it up including The Atlantic and Reason.

When asked about her change of heart, Norris told The Ticket that she didn't intend for the cartoon "to go viral."

Then why did she send the cartoon to the media in the first place? "Because I'm an idiot," Norris replied.

"This particular cartoon of a 'poster' seems to have struck a gigantic nerve, something I was totally unprepared for," she said.

She doesn't appear to be alone. The creator of a Facebook page dedicated to the day has bowed out as well. Jon Wellington told the Washington Post (before abandoning ship) that he created the page because he "loved [Norris's] creative approach to the whole thing -- whimsical and nonjudgmental."

While he was still associated with his own event he said: "To me, this is all about freedom of expression and tolerance of other viewpoints, so I hope you'll help make this a sandbox that anyone can play in, if they want. I don't think it'd be right under the circumstances for me (or anyone) to censor inflammatory posts *ahem*, but let's be welcoming and inclusive, mmkay?"

Apparently the posts weren't "welcoming" enough, as on Sunday morning he announced his departure from the cause. "I am aghast that so many people are posting deeply offensive pictures of the Prophet," he writes. "Y'all go ahead if that's your bag, but count me out."

Did he think people were going to post flattering images?

That's what Facebook user Douglas Armstrong wondered too. "You created an event inviting people to submit pictures of Mohammed," Armstrong wrote. "And apparently you're so new to the Internet that you didn't foresee what would happen?"

Although Wellington had abandoned his cause, he apparently was sticking around to answer questions. To Armstrong's question, Wellington responded: "I guess I had more faith in human nature than was warranted."

Another user, Paul St. George, had little patience for Wellington. "If you're not going to attend your own event then take it down dumbass and quit boring us."

Big Brother to track your medication compliance with electronic transmitters in pills

Hey America. Uncle Obama really cares for you. He cares so much that he wants to make sure you've taken your medication and check your blood pressure and sugar levels - all done remotely. He also wants to insert a blood monitoring chip in your arm to check your blood tests! Hey, and you thought Obama didn't care! Is anybody else a tad worried about this?

Now that the U.S. government has achieved its monopoly over health care, new technologies are in the works that will allow the government to remotely monitor and track whether ordinary citizens are complying with taking medications prescribed by conventional doctors. One new technology described at the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging allows "pills to be electronically outfitted with transmitters" which would track the patient's compliance with medications and broadcast that information back to government health care enforcers who check for "compliance and efficacy."

"Emerging technologies allow pills to be electronically outfitted with transmitters to communicate with the user's wristwatch that shows that the pill has been consumed," said University of Virginia professor Robin Felder at the committee meeting. "Broadband connectivity of these devices would allow the electronic medical record to be updated with regard to medication compliance and efficacy."

This would allow government health operators, for example, to know whether you've taken all your prescribed psychiatric medications. If you veer from the course of pharmaceuticals prescribed by your doctor, health care enforcement agents could be dispatched to your door to make sure you start taking your pills.

Parents who currently attempt to protect their children from toxic medical therapies such as chemotherapy could be closely monitored by government medical enforcement agents. If you try to flush dangerous pharmaceuticals down the toilet instead of actually taking them, the lack of an electronic tracking signal will let your health care observers know you didn't really take the pills.

Get ready for E-Care
It's all part of a new push called E-Care which involves a number of medical devices that monitor you in your home and report back to government authorities. A blood pressure monitoring device, for example, could report your blood pressure to your government-approved doctor. A blood sugar monitoring device could determine if you've eaten too much sugar and order you to take more diabetes pills to try to compensate.

Big Government, you see, doesn't just want to monopolize health care; it wants to monitor your compliance with it. If you depart from their system of pharmaceuticals, you may be found unfit as a parent, for example. Or possibly just declared insane (which gets you drugged with psych meds).

Big Brother snooping in on your diet
One of the ultimate goals of this remote monitoring technology is to install a blood monitoring chip in your arm that would sample and run diagnostic tests on your blood every few minutes. While this could be used in a positive way to detect early signs of cancer or liver problems, for example, it could also be used to snoop on the dietary habits of everyday citizens.

If you take too much vitamin C, for example -- beyond what is allowed by CODEX -- it could trigger a monitored alert that causes government-run medical operatives to force their way into your home and confiscate your "non-compliant" vitamins.

If your vitamin D levels rise high enough to actually prevent cancer, they could have you arrested for "spending too much time in the sun" and thrown into a hospital with no windows to, as they claim, "Protect you from skin cancer."

These are some of the very practical realities that could theoretically emerge in the dystopian medicalized society that seems to be getting closer with each passing day.

We're monitoring you for your own good
Whis isn't science fiction: It's modern medical fact. As CNSNews reports, "...Areas of interest include medicines that can tell a doctor if they have been taken on time [and] wireless monitoring of nutritional information..."

Of course, as with all privacy-invading monitoring devices, government will argue that monitoring you is "for your own good." You can expect an RFID chip to be implanted in your arm, too, containing your entire medical history. So every time you pass near an RFID reader at a government-controlled facility (airports, schools, interstate toll booths, etc.), your entire medical history can be scanned and assessed for a variety of metrics.

Obama - White Male Votes Not Required

Watch and try not to puke.

In the video message to his supporters, Obama said his administration's success depends on the outcome of this fall's elections and warned that if Republicans regain control of Congress, they could "undo all that we have accomplished."

"This year, the stakes are higher than ever," he said, "It will be up to each of you to make sure that young people, African Americans, Latinos and women who powered our victory in 2008 stand together once again.

"If you help make sure that first-time voters in 2008 make their voices heard again in November," he added, "then together we will deliver on the promise of change, hope and prosperity for generations to come."

USA: A Model School Flops

Theory meets reality - reality wins. Here is a classic example of the touchy-feely, happy-clappy progressive "how does Johnny feel?" education that's gone wrong. A school for minorities, given every helping hand under the sun....has failed. But,before you lament that it's because minorities don't get all the step-ups white kids do, read the article. You will see that another minority school in the area is doing brilliantly. The difference? The successful one focuses on academics and the failure focuses on social and emotional support over academics. Liberals NEVER learn from their mistakes. Their M.O. is to create victims where there are none, step in, make a mess, spend too much money, claim victory, then move on to the next class of ostensible victims.

It sounded like a great idea: Stanford education professors would create a model school to show how to educate low-income Hispanic and black students.

Or, as it’s turned out, how not to.

In March, Stanford New Schools (aka East Palo Alto Academy (EPA)) — a charter high school started in 2001 and elementary grades added in 2006 – made California’s list of schools in the lowest-achieving five percent in the state.

This month, the Ravenswood school board denied a new five-year charter. The elementary school — now with K-4 and eighth grade — will close in June. Another year or two wouldn’t be enough to improve poor student performance and weak behavior management, Superintendent Maria De La Vega told the board.

The high school will get two years to find a new sponsor: the local high school district has said “no,” but there are other options.

How did it happen? Stanford New Schools, run by the university’s school of education, seems to stress social and emotional support over academics.

Stanford New Schools hires well-trained teachers who use state-of-the-art progressive teaching methods; Stanford’s student teachers provide extra help. With an extra $3,000 per student raised privately, students enjoy small classes, mentoring, counseling and tutoring, technology access, field trips, summer enrichment, health van visits, community college classes on campus, and community service opportunities. The goal is to send graduates to college as critical thinkers, lifelong learners, and “global citizens.”

The school provides students a web of support, reports the New York Times:
High school students have one teacher/adviser who checks that homework is done, and when it is not, the teacher calls home. Teachers know students’ families and help with issues as varied as buying a bagel before an exam to helping an evicted family find a home. Teachers stay late and work weekends, and tend to burn out quickly — causing a high rate of turnover.

EPA Academy enrolls very disadvantaged students: Most are the children of poor and poorly educated Spanish-speaking immigrant families; the rest are black or Pacific Islanders. Their English skills are poor. Those who come in ninth grade are years behind in reading and math.

In comments on the news stories that have run, I see a common refrain: It’s impossible to teach these kids. Not even Stanford can do it.

But other schools with demographically identical students are doing much better. The top-scoring school in the district is East Palo Alto Charter School (EPAC), a K-8 run by Aspire Public Schools, Stanford’s original partner. An all-minority school, EPAC outperforms the state average.

Aspire co-founded East Palo Alto Academy High with Stanford, but bowed out five years ago. There was a culture clash, Aspire’s founder, Don Shalvey told the New York Times. Aspire focused “primarily and almost exclusively on academics,” while Stanford focused on academics and students’ emotional and social lives, he said.

Will Stanford education professors learn from their mistakes? I fear they’ll write off the elementary, claiming the program didn’t get enough time, and continue to claim the high school as a success. That would be a waste of a “teachable moment.”
